Newsletter #2

We have gotten off to a good start this year!

We have twelve Scouts registered so far. We would like to have fifteen, so have your youth talk to a friend.

Apple Day was a success. Overall the 114th brought in around $650 and our take was around $250

We are going to the Heritage District Fall Camp this year.
The camp will be at the Apple Hill Campsite near Maxville. 10 of our 12 youth are attending. 3 will be going on an overnight hike, and 7 will be working on their warrants.
We want the youth to bring ALL of their gear to the hall Friday night, to be left there overnight, so we are ready to leave first thing Saturday morning. Directions will be provided for those driving at Friday's meeting. The camp closes at 1:30, so parents coming to bring youth home should arrive at this time. The cost is $30 (cash please)

The Annual Food Drive is coming up on November 3rd. Details will be coming soon. Please keep some time put aside to help out with this most important project. Our focus is community involvement, this is a great chance to do something meaningful for those who need us.

The Help Santa Toy parade is November 17th. Scouts will be walking in the parade and handing out candy canes. Another chance to show our community spirit.

A special thank you to our new Group Committee. It was a brave step to take for a whole new committee, but they are doing a great job! Thank you.
